Dollar Tree Raises Maximum In-Store Prices to $7

Dollar Tree is hiking up prices once again! While many things at your local Dollar Tree, like personal care, food, and drinks, will now have a max price of $7, up from the previous cap of $5 set in June 2023, not everything will be affected by the increase. Most items will still be priced at $1.25. In 2021, Dollar Tree bumped up the base price of items to $1.25.

This will take place next Month in May 2024

“Over time, you will also see us fully integrate multi-price merchandise more into our stores so our shoppers will find $5 bags of dog food next to our traditional $1.25 pet treats and toys, and r$3 bags of candy will be found in the candy aisle,” Dreiling said.

“This year, across 3,000 stores, we expect to expand our multi-price assortment by over 300 items at price points ranging from $1.50 to $7,” Dollar Tree Chairman and CEO Rick Dreiling said during the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call earlier this month. Items impacted are in the food, pet and personal care categories.
