When is the 2024 solar eclipse?

It takes place on Monday, April 8th, when a total solar eclipse can be seen across Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

The eclipse will show up around 11:07 AM PDT on the Pacific coast of Mexico and start being visible in the US from about 1:30 PM CDT in South Texas. It’s gonna pass over thirteen states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. The eclipse will hang around for about 2.5 hours, with the peak hitting roughly an hour after it first catches your eye.
